Shrine
Soccer Drug Policy
The
Nebraska Shrine Soccer
Classic does not require
drug, alcohol, or tobacco
screening/testing
at this time.
We
will have
zero tolerance on drugs,
alcohol, or
tobacco while participating
in the Nebraska Shrine
Soccer
Classic.
This protects
the physical
and mental
well-being of the participating
athletes, maintain
a wholesome
atmosphere
in which to compete,
and to
protect
the good name
and integrity of the Nebraska Shrine Soccer Classic
and
the Shrine
Hospitals for
Children.
If
a participating athlete is found to possess any of
these
substances, they
will be subject,
but not
limited
to,
the following disciplinary actions.
1.
Confiscation of drug, alcohol, or
tobacco
2.
Notification
of
parent
or guardian. Parents
and/or
guardian will be asked
to come
out to
Hastings
and pick up his or her child no
matter
what time
of day / or night it might
be.
3.
Dismissal
from
the
team
will
be automatic
4.
Notification of Law Enforcement
Building
Evacuation
A.
All
building
evacuation will occur
when a fire
alarm
sounds
and/or
upon
notification
of
college
or Shrine
personnel.
B. When
the building evacuation
alarm
is
activated during an emergency,
leave by the nearest marked
exit and alert others to do the same.
C. Once
outside,
proceed to a clear area that is at
least
500 feet away from
the
affected building.
This
will be
discussed with you and your
coaching
staff after your team
meeting
to find
the best meeting
place.
Keep
streets,
fire lanes, hydrants and walkways
clear for emergency
vehicles and personnel.
Tornado
A.
If
the Adams County Emergency
Management
Agency outdoor warning is sounded, check a
media
source for the reason and if a tornado warning, seek shelter right
away.
B. Go
to the designated tornado waiting
area for the
building
you
are in. This
area should be in
the
basement,
in the
center of the room
away
from
all
glass.
The stairs are located at the ends
of
each building.
C. Assist
anyone who
might
need help.
D.
DO
NOT leave
the waiting area until
notified
by a college official or Shrine personnel.
E. A
Campus
Emergency
Command
Center
will be
established
to analyze the
damage
to the campus.
Severe
Hail
or Weather
A.
If
the National Weather
Service issues a thunderstorm
warning
during practice or the game;
players,
coaches, and Shrine
personnel
are to proceed
to the nearest
building
right away. If at
all
possible,
players and coaches should
try
to get
to their
dorm
rooms.
B. Check
with your coaches for updated information
and follow their directions from
Shrine
personnel! Do not leave the building
you
are
in until
directed
to do so by your coach.
